Perform Action (Unspecified Component)

A user may perform a new action on an existing component in one of two ways:

• by specifying the action type first, and then the full UUID of the component on which the action is to performed
• by specifying the component first (via its full UUID), and then the action type to be performed on that component

A new action of a particular action type may be performed without first specifying the component by pressing the corresponding blue [Perform Action on Component] button on the List All Action Types interface page. The user will then be taken to the following page:

The action's type is shown at the top of the page. The user must now enter the intended component's full UUID into the input box. This can be either done manually, or by scanning the component's QR code as instructed. Once a valid UUID is entered, the user will be automatically redirected to the interface page for performing an action on a specified component.
