This checklist is meant as a general guide of things to look at when testing a new version to make sure things are working as expected and that there are no regressions:

Starting from defaults

  • Motors spin up consistently on arm - Follow min/max startup power guide to find correct values
  • Enable bi-directional DSHOT in FC firmware and check that RPM values are being shown, make sure that there is no (or a very low error rate)
  • Enable EDT in FC firmware and check that temperatures are showing a sane value - you might need to adjust power rating
  • Test normal operation, make sure temps stay in a sane range - use BF OSD elements or logging
  • Test turtle mode and make sure that you can flip over after crash
