• Juliana and Dan presented OWF Architecture SIG 07102023.pdf
  • Fundamental Problem: Lack of standardized & compliant components for digital wallets
    • Question regarding whether OWF will specify which standards can be implemented
    • It was noted that the standards that will be implemented will be different based on the region and the context of the wallet being developed
  • Where do we start
    • Troy mentioned that is important that we do not set guidelines so tight as to stop people from contributing to the OWF
    • There was agreement on this sentiment and it was noted that we should ensure that the work done in the architecture SIG is focused on the code contributions
  • Component discussion
    • How do we do compliance testing?
    • Do we have comparison points that can be used for each component so that the users will have a better understanding of whether the implementation is "good"?
    • Add wallet selector to support multiple wallets on the same phone
    • Add credential signature and credential format as components
  • Next steps
    • Work on a whitepaper and discuss the components in future meetings
  • Other comments
    • Jorge asked if there was a list of standards that we would consider
      • While there is no definitive list, we did start a list in the early days of the SIG that is captured on the Standards sheet of this document
