Fix macOS fallback (when $HOME is not set):
* exec "id -un" instead of "whoami" (which is deprecated according to the
man page) to retrieve username
* drop exec of the shell ("sh"): run "dscl" directly
* drop exec of "sed": process dscl output in Go
