@CBroz1 - I started my review and noticed the Epic Event listed in the Player Guide Brief is still the old one with players drawing a hand. Before we merge we should update that with a quick description of the Epic Events with Epic Event TCs from your most recent changes to the Player Guide Full.

I'm not sure how I've missed this, but we don't have anything in the Player Guide Full about Powers, even just a short section to point them to the Powers document would be helpful. EDIT - I do see that there is a whole section on Powers in the Character Creation Doc. We may still want to include a quick description of Powers

I wanted to add that using a Power is usually a Major Action unless otherwise specified in the PGF, and then I realized we don't mention Powers at all in the Player Guide Full. My recommendation would be that we add it as a short section near Attributes, Skills, and Modifiers that links to the Powers document.

@CBroz1 - I only added a few other quick notes but otherwise should be good to merge this once comments are closed in preparation for the next phase of Alpha Testing.

When a Dealer is Knocked Out in combat, their subsequent turns are replaced with Epic
Event TCs of DR 4 Vitality Checks. If they take additional damage, they make these
checks at Lower Hand (+1). If they succeed on two TCs, they remain unconscious and the
Epic Event is concluded. For a Major Success (same value as TC), they recover 1 HP. For
a Critical Success, they recover 1 HP and up to 3 FP (FP max permitting). If they fail
two of these TCs, they are called to the great beyond.

I like this and think it makes sense. 2 questions:

  1. Do we want to allow Fate Cards for redraws during this Knocked Out Epic Event? I would vote yes, but that is also coming from my desire to want to make death happen less often during DofA (while still being a real and very present danger)
  2. Can Powers that grant an Ally Upper Hand on a check work for these Epic Event checks? Meaning, when the Defender goes down, can the Support use Lend Aid to give him Upper Hand on his Epic Event Vitality Checks?

With the current description,

  1. Yes Fate Cards are still in effect
  2. RAW, yes, Lend Aid would give upper hand on KO vitality checks. I don't think I would permit that in a group Epic Event

For standard play, Shuffle
your discard pile back into your deck after completing a Quick Rest.
For hardcore play, continue without shuffling.

TBD if we let shuffles happen on every Quick Rest, or if there are additional rules for reshuffle.

Not to add in now but worth us thinking about - maybe you need to exchange 2 or 3 Rest Cards for the ability to shuffle on a Quick Rest? That would create an interesting relationship on rests of trading off HP/FP/AP for Stamina.

Right, there are other levers we can pull to adjust the value of shuffling. Or:

A player may choose to spend a Quick Rest (a) recovering points with Rest Cards, or (b) shuffling their cards.

Do you want to add these thoughts under Issue #69 ?

@LockerM Because the switch to yml is big, I'll point out a couple places to check that you see my changes in Powers. In general, I added specificity for Free, Minor, Major Action.

Here, I made it 'part of the movement' and therefore passive
