Cendric v1.1.0beta2 Pre-release
Pre-release

This is the second version of the controller support release. It now offers full controller support and default bindings for Xbox One and DS4 controllers. The other controllers still need default bindings but they should be fully functional.

How to test

  • This is a debug release, it will output the productid of the connected controller in the debug window or just in the terminal when started on Linux.
  • If you have a controller different than DualShock4 or XboxOne, you can go to the Keybindings -> Gamepad and send me a list of the button and axis mappings, together with your gamepad's product id. For example, if you press the X button and the game displays "B1", this would mean that the Button 1 on your gamepad is mapped to X and I'd like to know this :).
  • You can also test gameplay and interface if you want.

Cendric v1.1.0beta1 Pre-release
Pre-release

This is a BETA release to test the gamepad support.
Some features may not work at all.

It has already been briefly tested on Windows 10, x64 with an XBox 360 Controller, but any combination is welcome.

IMPORTANT

  • You can report bugs by opening issues directly on the repository: https://github.com/tizian/Cendric2/issues
  • Only the XBox controller and the Dualshock4 (Playstation) controllers are supported for now. Other controllers may work, but it is not guaranteed at all.
  • Reporting a bug that can be reproduced and fixed or adding a constructive idea improving the controller usability will result in a Steam Key as a reward (one per tester).
  • You can also open issues for questions/ideas only.
  • The keyboard and mouse controls should still work and not produce issues while a controller is plugged in.
  • The Linux version was compiled on Ubuntu. Compiling the release for other Linux distributions directly from the master branch is encouraged.
  • The save game "everything unlocked" contained in the saves folder can be used for testing different spells, modifiers, and teleporting around. The story and quests might be broken though when using it.
  • Pressing C, typing "god" and pressing C again ingame will toggle the Godmode for testing.
  • Controller as well as Keyboard key mappings can be almost fully configured.
