+We are pleased to announce that the voting phase for the proposed GEP from last week is now underway.

+Last week, we shared [a GEP proposal](https://forum.threefold.io/t/gep-minting-and-farming-rewards-updates-march-2024/4285) around minting and farming rewards updates, and we are ready to take a vote.

+<li>The voting period will end one week from today: Friday, April 12 19:55 CEST | 13:55 EDT.</li>

+We appreciate the feedback brought by the community on this GEP and we look forward to discussing and incorporating ideas into upcoming GEPs as it makes sense.

+We are also excited to invite you to a community discussion scheduled for next Thursday. This interactive session will be conducted via a two-way call format.

+Our focus will be the current GEP, future GEPs, TF Grid 3.14, and the cooperative.

+In the recent community call, several inquiries from both the forum and chat remained unaddressed. So, we've compiled responses to these outstanding questions:

+***What does commercialization mean to the average farmer and how can they have a deeper involvement? How can we get 3nodes faster here in the US?***
+
+*Commercialization means that there will be much more utilization, and this will lead to more rewards. This means that farmers will also need to meet certain standards related to reliability for commercial-level workloads.*
+
+*Regarding getting 3Nodes faster in the US, for now, we recommend reaching out to existing vendors on this topic. Anyone can apply to become a vendor and ship in the US, and we expect that, as the project grows, more vendors will come on board.*

+***Note***: We still need to discuss how the certified node program might change in v4.
+
+***Can you guarantee that there will never be more than 1B Tokens in the future or can your opinion change later?***
+
+*We can guarantee that there will never be more than 1B TFT on the Stellar Blockchain.*
+
+***We shall move to the new Farmerbot, but it is still possible to run the old one, right?***
+
+*You can run the old Farmerbot, but our recommendation is to update at the earliest as there have been a lot of new features that you wouldn’t see in the old one. Most importantly the old Farmerbot did have a few bugs that were fixed in the new version. So please update as soon as possible.*

Our aim with this proposal is to bolster the reliability and fairness of the ThreeFold Grid, while ensuring fair value is achieved for all participants.

+**Proposal Summary**
+<ul>
+<li>95% and 98% uptime requirements for DIY and certified nodes respectively</li>
+<li>50% of proof-of-utilization revenues will go to the farmer running the 3Node</li>
+<li>Minting will be slashed for 1 month if the node cannot wake up within 30 minutes twice within the same minting period</li>
+<li>When we reach 1 Billion TFT on Stellar, minting stops on Stellar</li>
+<li>TFT burning will stop</li>
