The biggest change is the introduced docker based workflow. That allows to encapsulate the complex setup into a convenient container.

This version is tracking whipper version 0.7.3 as of now. Any new version will be equally included, which might lead to problems.

Upgrade

There are some changes that'll probably break your setup if you are migrating from a previous version. I hope the current state is described properly in the Readme.

Changes

  • verified compatibility with whipper 0.5.1
  • make all hard coded parameters override-able
  • removed abcde: I think this isn't required anymore since whipper can now rip unknown discs using the -U switch
  • removed the whole configuration (auto-rip.cfg) and all associated configuration options (disable auto ripping, shutdown after finish and shutdown timeout in minutes). If you really require these options then please raise an issue and I'll create a solution
  • passing the status codes of the utilized tools when an error occurs. Makes it easier to track problems
