The site had a great showing due to a kind stranger's post on Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36817851

Although the site had 4500 users in the two days following that post, I noticed few people visited the GitHub, which was a giant missed opportunity to gain contributors. So, I added a link to this GitHub repo on the menu of stemformulas.com, and made it easier to contribute by creating a docker-compose setup. If software-oriented people want to contribute to the site, they don't need to download Hugo or Go, just Docker and Git, which many software developers will already have.

Other additions:

  • 12 more formulas
  • A Python script that normalizes preview images so that they always fit inside the open-graph preview window when shared on social media

  • The tags page now correctly shades tags by their frequency count
  • Added 9 formulas
