Kia ora!
I'm Matthew, a Software Engineering student at the University of Auckland. I write open source software for fun.
My big project is Extension Manager - a popular utility for GNOME that aims to make customising your desktop easy and fun. I'm the sole maintainer of the project so it does take a big chunk of my time, but it's something I enjoy a lot.
I also work on a lot of other cool things:
- I'm writing Text Engine, which will (one day) be an embeddable cross-platform rich text control.
- I created Write, a web app to help build good writing habits. It lets you separate writing from editing and gets words on the page (screen?).
- More to come!
My work on free software is exactly that; it'll always be free forever. But if you do like my projects and find them useful, consider saying thanks by buying me an orange juice π .
