CharExtensions.ToUpperInvariant Method

Converts the value of a Unicode character to its uppercase equivalent using the casing rules of the invariant culture.

Parameters

 

chr
Type: System.Char
The Unicode character to convert.

Return Value

Type: Char
The uppercase equivalent of chr, or the unchanged value of chr, if chr is already uppercase or not alphabetic.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Char. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
