  • WG: Implementation agnostic document
    • Completed a ‘final’ pass through the Chapter 1 changes
    • ASC Meeting:
      • Will present an overview of the group and it’s progress so far.
      • Will present the changes to Chapter 1 as an informal reading for discussion/feedback
        • If it goes well then put it on track for formal acceptance
  • WG: Functional slicing
    • Swaroop working on new use case - interoperability (for example, MPI+OpenMP)
      • Ralph might have some notes from Spark community to factor into this use case.
    • Josh working on getting started on ‘instant on’ use case
    • Debugger use case
      • Suggest a conversion document for MPIR to PMIx transition
      • Ralph to try to capture some of this in v4 tools wireup
    • ASC Meeting:
      • Working on outline for presentation
      • Probably not ready for an informal reading
      • Solicit feedback from the group on how best to integrate these ‘slices’ into the PMIx standard.
  • ASC Schedule
    • Suggest move elections to 15 slot - free up a break
  • Elections:
    • Call for nominations out for volunteers
    • Can nominate up to the time of elections
  • Suggestions for working groups
    • Dynamic Workflow Environments Working Group
      • Ralph will send an email out to the list to try to form a group before the ASC meeting
    • Storage working group
      • Put this forward during the meeting as a possible new working group
  • SC BoF - Wed. 12:15 pm
  • Completed movement of PMIx Reference Implementation from GitHub ‘pmix’ to ‘openpmix’ project.
    • Renaming is now complete.
    • GitHub preserves cross linking for the repos that were moved. So it should be transparent for existing checkouts.
    • Working on a plan for the pmix.org website
  • Rough target for v4 of PMIx Standard and OpenPMIx library by the end of the calendar year
