This Wiki gives an overview of what is planned for learning circle development. You can find the user documentation here.
The Roadmap shows what is currently planned for learning circles.
The Release notes page shows the previously completed features.
The typical path of a feature is suggested -> prioritize/clarify -> planned -> in progress -> done.
Features are ideas for functionality that will improve learning circle tools for the whole community or address issues the community is currently experiencing. As issues are encountered or new ideas occur, they are recorded as new GitHub issues.
From time to time, features are prioritize to determine what should be worked on. A features typically falls into 1 of 2 categories - 1. something that needs to be fixed or improved as part of a current program or 2. something that could be included in a new program for which funds still need to be raised. During the prioritization phase it is common that some time is spent clarifying the feature.
After a feature has been prioritized, it will enter the Roadmap with the status of "planned" and once implementation starts, the status will be updated to "in progress".
When a feature is done, it will be moved to the Release Notes page with a brief description of what has been done and a screenshot or two if applicable.
The Feature roadmap and Release notes address features at a high level and are meant to be updated only when things change. Discussion and details should be kept in linked Google docs or other ephemeral places. The Feature roadmap and Release notes should be considered a more persistent place for information.
We value input during the different stages of feature development. If you would like to suggest a new feature, please create a new issue on GitHub.
If you'd like to help with the clarification or implementation of a feature, please contact thepeople at p2pu.org with the feature you would like to be involved with. You help with development by reviewing documentation and leaving comments, participating in user testing, etc.
We also appreciate any help in testing completed features to ensure that they do work as intended.
Note we are a small team, and working on features depends on us being able to raise the necessary funds to work on the proposed features. We are a registered non profit in the United States and able to receive money should you wish to help fund any development. For more info, please the the work with us page on our website.
