Current plan

  • Nathan + @cwong take care of releasing Jane Street ppx-es compatible with the latest ppxlib
  • Sonja works on adding Astlib to ppxlib
  • Carl looks into the upgrade story for upstreamed Astlib
  • Nathan adds to ppxlib what is needed for bisect_ppx to maintain the bucklescript compat

Meeting notes

Carl was off for a week but before that he and Jérémie finished the omp.2.0.0 compat in ppxlib.

Nathan released ppxlib.0.16.0 that depends on omp 2. He's also working with @cwong to get a release of Jane Street packages compatible with the latest versions of ppxlib.

Next step is Astlib or rather ppxlib's local copy of it, before we upstream it to the compiler. Sonja will take care of this when she gets back. Carl will work on the maintainance/update/testing story for Astlib once it's in the compiler but we do need to specify exactly what needs to go in there first.

It's likely that the compiler team won't do one off upgrades as is done in OMP at the moment but will instead maitain a Trunk or Current variant in the OMP parts of Astlib and keep the types and migration functions in there up to date at any given time.
