Objective:
As owners of the MoJ GitHub Enterprise we are responsible for the effective management of the enterprise. This includes the effective on-boarding and off-boarding of users, ensuring that optimise costs, and ensure that secure and robust access management principles are enforced.

We have a dormant users process that we follow each munch to identify inactive accounts. This is a valuable tool in managing user licences, however this process involves multiple manual steps, some of which can only be actioned by specific people in the team which leads to single points if failure.

Value:
This automation will simplify managing inactive users, significantly reducing manual effort and the potential for errors. It will help us optimise our usage of GitHub licenses and save costs. Additionally, it ensures that our GitHub organisation remains secure and compliant by removing inactive users who no longer require access.

Next Steps:
Following an evaluation or the current process and tools we will look to improve/replace the existing process to maximise opportunities for automation.
