IXP Route Server BGP Community usage Draft IETF Draft

Abstract

This document presents suggestions for the use of BPG Large Communities at Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) based on operational experiences from IXP members this document suggests catergories of communities.
Any IXP operator or IXP member can consider using these communities.
The document specifically focusses on Route Server [RFC7947] deployments in IXP context [RFC7948].

Authoring Conventions

  • One sentence per line, this makes diff viewing easiest.
  • Only edit the .xml file (the .txt and .html files are computer generated).
  • Be sure to keep track of the names of contributors through the Acknowledgements section and the git log.
