Overview

strip_delimited.m is a utility that removes text between delimiters. The default delimiters are ‘%#{’ and ‘%#}’, but custom delimiters may be used as well.

In addition, it removes text between C-macro-like

%#ifdef IDENTIFIER
...
%#endif

and

%#ifndef IDENTIFIER
...
%#endif

blocks, for given identifiers. This behaves similarly to the C preprocessor.

Users should be forewarned, however, that there is a small but real possibility that the software may be buggy. Proceed at your own risk!

Example

The sample input file input_file.m and output file output_file.m are also provided. The MATLAB script is able to reproduce the output file correctly, for the simple case of default delimiters and no identifiers.

The sample input file can also be processed the identifiers VERBOSE, TEST, INNER, and OUTER.
