To understand how to set up labrad_tools
.
Installing labrad manager. Use scalalabrad
I had to install Java8 to set JAVA_HOME
.
Configuring node following wiki from Eric. Cloned it on this repository (copy_SrE.wiki/
). serial
server added.
sudo systemctl enable labrad-manager.service
sudo systemctl enable labrad-node.service
sudo systemctl enable labrad-web.service
Install scalabrad-web
.
Following is required for autostart. sudo visudo -f /etc/sudoers
Defaults env_keep += "PYTHONPATH LABRADHOST LABRADNODE LABRADPASSWORD LABRAD_TLS"
This does not make things work.
At the end we added Environment=JAVA_HOME=/home/srgang/java/jre1.8.0_361
on [Service]
of .service
file.
Useful commands for debugging
sudo systemctl status labrad-manager.service
This can show what's wrong.
Try to add picoscope
server. Following Picoscope in Labrad section.
Install the drivers.
Install lab-modified version of ps3000a.py
.
In this case, the path is /usr/local/lib/python3.10/dist-packages/picoscope
.
Change udev rule for the picoscope.
Using sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/95-pico.rules
.
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0ce9", ATTRS{idProduct}=="1213", MODE="0777", GROUP="pico", SYMLINK+="picoscope3403D"
Also, change the permission of the picoscope.
sudo chmod a+rwx /dev/picoscope3403D
Permission requirement can be checked by trying to run picoscope gui software without sudo
.
