What do you do if you have a more annoying recipe? One that involves exclusion_groups, extension attributes, scripts, or perhaps a pkg_id?

At this point, get as far as you can with the automated creation and then hand-edit! Or add in handling to this project and send a pull-request. I would say that most JSS recipes can be processed with JSSRecipeCreator, and those few that are problems often require iterating through several test versions anyway.
