This app is made using JavaScript you can type the word here and after you get exact meaning and their full details you can even
listen the word and their pronunciation.

@indus thoughts on whether this is related enough to JavaScript? My gut says this probably falls into the "most websites are built with JS" bucket?

@MattIPv4 @gopirathod I don't think this really related to JavaScript. With a link to the repo and source code maybe but as is not really.

@indus Thank You very much For your Reply. This is basically a tool based on JavaScript which is give exact Meaning of the word which you type. You can say online dictionary. Here in this tool you can search a word and after some times this will give you result with meaning and with their pronounciation and with sound. I request you please provide me a domain because i think in history you are provided a domain tool sites like this which is based on javascript like paint.js.org, notepad.js.org, etc please try to give me this domain. I assure this is not a personal blog but useful for so many people. I hope you allow me.

@gopirathod I like your app but from what I see it is not that much more then a nice alternative frontend arround https://dictionaryapi.dev/
Compare your website to lets say https://www.npmjs.com/package/word in terms of relatedness to JavaScript... (they havn't asked for a JS subdomain - yet ;-)

I think notepad and paint are from a time where we havn't been that strict about a projects relation to JavaScript.

@MattIPv4 What is your tendency?

@indus Thank you very much for your response i am providing more details I believe that this project is related enough to JavaScript, and I would like to provide you with more information to support my request.

This project is a JavaScript tool that allows users to search for the meaning of words, acronyms, and pronunciations. The project is built on the JavaScript library Vite, and it uses the JavaScript API, Dictionary.

I believe that my project is similar to other JavaScript projects that have been granted a JS subdomain, such as paint.js.org and notepad.js.org. These projects are also built on JavaScript and use JavaScript APIs.

Thank You for for your time.

I am inclined to agree that this doesn't fit within our updated guidelines around relevancy to the JavaScript ecosystem/community.

@gopirathod I appreciate your points around paint.js.org and notepade.js.org, but as @indus noted, these were granted prior to our recent requirements change where we expect sites to be far more directly related to the JavaScript ecosystem/community.

Almost every site on the internet is built using JavaScript in some form, many using JavaScript frameworks under the hood and integrating with JavaScript APIs. That doesn't make them directly related to the JavaScript ecosystem/community though, they are just built using the technology that is available for the web. When we look at what we consider to be directly related, we generally look at JavaScript libraries and packages, things that other JavaScript developers would consume in their projects.

@MattIPv4 thank you for your response. You are right this sites are old but pairings.js.org is not old and similar like this project even this time may be you have same policy.

We may have made wrong descissions in the past, but that doesn't mean there are no criterias any longer.
You may find something that fits here: similar services that may fit better.
