Welcome to the FreeBSD "ported software" collection.

Each directory under this one has its own Makefile which supports the
standard "all, install & clean" targets, making the compilation and
installation of a desired tool a fairly trivial affair.  The top level
Makefile should also build and install all optional software packages,
should you have infinite amounts of disk space and desire a copy of
everything under the sun.  Please note that some packages, like gcc1,
are "system" packages - the installation of which may affect the
behavior of your system.  Installation of each and every package
should only be done with caution.

Send updates, corrections or offers of additional software ports to
[email protected] - I will do my best to coordinate and package
them.
