Study storage volume

The volumes (and their total) occupied by study files can be reviewed in the General tab of the Details on study view.

The total volume is also displayed in the Manage studies list view. The list can be ordered by this new column, and by hovering over it, the detailed volumes are displayed in a tip box.

Theses volumes corresponds to the following elements size :

  • DICOM files stored on PACS
  • NIfTI files stored on disk
  • Data user agreement stored on disk
  • Additional study (protocol) files stored on disk
  • BIDS files stored on disk

The size of the DICOM files is calculated on import and stored in the datasets.dataset_expression table. The size of the others files, stored on disk, is calculated on the fly.

⚠️ Note that this value corresponds to the size of uncompressed files. The size of the exported archives can therefore vary greatly.
