This version is "breaking" with the old one:

  • To improve privacy protection the device ID is no longer the device's mac address, but hash instead. This means you will have to re-add your things, and the old ones will stop working.

Also:

  • More consistency in how it names devices, should no longer lead to duplicates.
  • Adds avahi-browse as a data source
