EEG/MEG Forward/Inverse (Single/Double/Multilayer Source Space) Problem Pipeline (FieldTrip-based Toolbox)
In this research project, a toolbox based on FieldTrip was developed for the computation and visualization of all elements involved in a forward/inverse problem. The toolbox allows users to check the consistency of coordinates and units, as well as alignments across different geometrical elements. It provides a homogeneous and uniform visualization of various geometrical elements, enabling users to extract and verify complementary information. The geometrical elements encompass MRI data, fiducials, segmented MRI (white matter, gray matter, CSF, brain, skull, and scalp) and their meshes, volume conduction head model, source model (white matter, in-between, and pial), sensor model (EEG and MEG), user-defined source activity (position and extent), and single/double/multilayer reconstructed source activies using LCMV and DICS methods.
