Input file version

  • fuel_type: diesel, gasoline, LPG, NG or biomethane, ethanol(E85), biodiesel
  • engine_fuel_lower_heating_value: Lower heating value of fuel used in the test
  • fuel_carbon_content_percentage: The amount of carbon produced when a gram of fuel is burned
  • ignition_type: Positive ignition or compression ignition
  • engine_capacity: The total volume of all the cylinders in cubic meters
  • engine_stroke: A stroke refers to the full travel of the piston along the cylinder, in either direction
  • target engine_max_power: Engine nominal power [kW/min]. This is the maximum power of the T1 map
  • target engine_speed_at_max_power: Engine nominal speed [RPM]. This is the engine speed at engine nominal power of the T1 map.
  • engine_max_speed: Engine max speed [RPM]. This is the maximum engine speed allowed by the engine.
  • target engine_max_torque: Engine nominal torque [Nm/min]. This is the engine torque at engine nominal power of the T1 map.
  • idle_engine_speed_median: Idle engine speed [RPM] at warm conditions.
  • engine_idle_fuel_consumption: Idle fuel consumption of the vehicle in warm conditions. What is the idling fuel consumption of the vehicle when velocity is 0, Start-stop system is disengaged, and battery SOC is at balance conditions?
  • final_drive_ratio: Final drive ratio, if included in the gearbox ratios put 1. If a car has two different final drive ratios please set this variable to 1 and provide the total ratios in gear_box_ratios tab.
  • tyre_code: Tyre code of the tyres used in the WLTP test (e.g.,P195/55R16 85H)
  • gear_box_type: Gearbox type: automatic/manual/CVT
  • start_stop_activation_time: Start/stop activation time elapsed from test start, how many seconds after the NEDC test the S/S system is expected to be enabled.
  • alternator_nomimal_voltage: Alternator nomimal voltage.
  • alternator_nomimal_power: Alternator maximum power.
  • battery_capacity: Battery capacity.
  • initial_temperature WLTP-H: Initial temperature of the test cell during WLTP-H test. Default value = 23 C
  • initial_temperature WLTP-L: Initial temperature of the test cell during WLTP-L test. Default value = 23 C
  • alternator_efficiency: Average alternator efficiency as declared by the manufacturer, if not provided equal to default value=0.67
  • target velocity_speed_ratios: Optional -Constant velocity speed ratios of the gear box
  • gear_box_ratios: Gear box ratios [ratio gear 1, ratio gear 2, ...] see relevant sheet(gear_box_ratios)
  • full_load_speeds: T1 max speed. See relevant sheet (T1_map)
  • full_load_torques: T1 max torque. See relevant sheet (T1_map)
  • full_load_powers: T1 max power. See relevant sheet (T1_map)

Road loads

  • vehicle_mass WLTP-H: Dyno applied mass [kg]
  • f0 WLTP-H: F0 road load coefficient WLTP-H. Rolling resistance force [N], when angle_slope==0
  • f1 WLTP-H: F1 road load coefficient WLTP-H. Defined by Dyno procedure [N/(km/h)].
  • f2 WLTP-H: F2 road load coefficient WLTP-H. As used in the Dyno and defined by respective guidelines [N/(km/h) \exp(2)].
  • vehicle_mass WLTP-L: Dyno applied mass [kg]
  • f0 WLTP-L: F0 road load coefficient WLTP-L. Rolling resistance force [N], when angle_slope==0
  • f1 WLTP-L: F1 road load coefficient WLTP-L. Defined by Dyno procedure [N/(km/h)].
  • f2 WLTP-L: F2 road load coefficient WLTP-L. As used in the Dyno and defined by respective guidelines [N/(km/h)^2].

  • co2_emissions_high WLTP-H: Phase high, CO2 emissions bag values [gCO2/km], not corrected for RCB, not rounded WLTP-H test measurements.
  • co2_emissions_extra_high WLTP-H: Phase extra high, CO2 emissions bag values [gCO2/km], not corrected for RCB, not rounded WLTP-H test measurements.

Drive mode

  • n_wheel_drive WLTP-H: Specify 2-wheel driving or 4-wheel driving WLTP-H test (default:2)
  • n_wheel_drive WLTP-L: Specify 2-wheel driving or 4-wheel driving WLTP-L test (default:2)
  • n_wheel_drive NEDC-H: Specify 2-wheel driving or 4-wheel driving NEDC-H test (default:2)
  • n_wheel_drive NEDC-L: Specify 2-wheel driving or 4-wheel driving NEDC-L test (default:2)

Technologies (as declared by the manufacturer)

  • engine_is_turbo: Is the engine equipped with any kind of charging system? 0=No | 1=Yes (default:1)
  • has_start_stop: Does the vehicle has start-stop system? 0=No | 1=Yes (default:1)
  • has_energy_recuperation: Does the vehicle have energy recuperation technologies? 0=No | 1=Yes (default:1)
  • has_torque_converter: Does the vehicle use torque converter? (default:0 if gear_box_type=='manual', else 1)
  • fuel_saving_at_strategy: Setting this value to 1 will allow the correlation tool to use a higher gear at constant speed driving than in case of transient conditions. 0=No | 1=Yes (default:1)
  • engine_has_variable_valve_actuation: Does the engine feature variable valve actuation? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • has_thermal_management: Does the vehicle use technologies for managing engine temperature compared to a standard version? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • engine_has_direct_injection: 0 = PFI / 1 = DI
  • has_lean_burn: Does the engine use lean burn? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • engine_has_cylinder_deactivation: Does the engine feature a cylinder deactivation system? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • has_exhausted_gas_recirculation: Does the vehicle have an external EGR system? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • has_particle_filter: Does the vehicle have a particle filter? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • has_selective_catalytic_reduction: Does the vehicle have a SCR system? 0=No | 1=Yes
  • has_nox_storage_catalyst: Does the vehicle have a NOx storage catalyst? 0=No | 1=Yes

Dyno - Vehicle configuration

  • n_dyno_axes WLTP-H: Number of rotating axis of the dyno, Default:2
  • n_dyno_axes WLTP-L: Number of rotating axis of the dyno, Default:2
