The process to update Community Store is the same as updating other manually installed concrete5 add-ons; replace the add-on folder in the packages directory and trigger an update via the dashboard.

In detail

(Recommended) Perform the following steps on a testing/staging copy of your website before applying to your production version

  • Take a complete backup of your site's database and files
  • Log into your site as super admin and visit /index.php/dashboard/extend/install. Leave this page open for now
  • Download the latest release zip file from the Community Store releases page
  • Move or delete the existing community_store folder within the top level packages folder of your site and replace it with the community_store folder within the release zip
  • Return to the 'Add Functionality' page you opened previously and refresh the page. It should indicate that there is an update available. Press the Update Add-Ons button
  • Finally press the Update Add-On button against the Community Store package

If you have installed payment add-ons also check whether there are new release versions available and repeat the update steps for them as well.
