I put some of the work off to:

because that'll take a lot of manual editing time that I don't have right now (but hopefully later)

I also updated the "old" Zenodo entry for the BIDS spec PDF versions, see: https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.3686061

Our switch of how we release PDF versions should be complete once we merge this PR.

Additional changes like those proposed here:

will only be "supplemental metadata" that's nice to have.

Not sure it is necessary to have the list of publications in the citation.cff.

Unless we want to use the citation.cff as the place where we list our references.

Otherwise it adds another thing to keep in synch.

That being said I also did create a zotero group for BIDS so... https://www.zotero.org/groups/5111637/bids

I am not 100% consistent.
