Update 2024-05-30 AzerothCore and all modules have been updated to their latest versions. Thanks again to all contributors helping to improve the module!

Please note that if updating from an old version, it is necessary to run this SQL file on your character database due to an update in NPCBots.

Update 2024-05-06 This releases includes a large number of Naxx 40 fixes, with many thanks to jellemeeus! AzerothCore and all modules have been updated to their latest versions. Thanks again to all contributors helping to improve the module!

Update 2024-04-18 This release fixes config and SQL related issues from the previous release, along with resolving a number of config related warnings during startup. Also included are StraysFromPath's StatBooster default values, for those who are using that module. As always, AzerothCore and all modules have been updated to their latest versions. Thanks again to all contributors helping to improve the module!

Update 2024-01-22 AzerothCore and all modules have been updated to their latest versions. Thanks again to all contributors helping to improve the module! This release changes the random enchants module to the more recent StatBooster module by AnchyDev. As usual, it is disabled by default and can be enabled through its config.

Update 2023-11-29 AzerothCore and all modules have been updated to their latest versions. Thanks again to all contributors helping to improve the module! Please note that this release updates to the newest version of AutoBalance rather than using the NPCbot fork. I recommend using the player offset config option to adjust it if you are using bots.

Per request, this update now includes the Random Enchants module as an optional module that can be enabled through config options. It is disabled by default.

Update 2023-08-10 For usage with Individual Progression's recent restoration of PvP Rank requirements for Vanilla PvP gear, this build now includes mod-pvp-titles, disabled by default.

In addition, as always, AzerothCore and all installed modules have been updated to their latest versions.

Update 2023-07-26 This update now integrates the excellent NPCBots by trickerer. They are disabled by default but can be enabled and configured in the worldserver config. Please note that I can provide only minimal support for the bots; for questions or support, please visit their original repo.

In addition, the following new modules are now installed:

  • mod-leech
  • mod-aoe-loot
  • mod-instance-reset

These modules are disabled by default but can be enabled through their respective configs.

For those updating from a previous release, please take care that the config dir provided in the Update archive may overwrite custom changes you have made - please use caution and migrate your changes appropriately.

In addition, as always, AzerothCore and all installed modules have been updated to their latest versions.

Update 2023-07-07 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. Notable fixes include improvements to rogue poisons and hunter pets not receiving XP during certain progression states.

Update 2023-06-28 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. Notable fixes include a fix to autobalance instances when level scaling is disabled (default setting.)

Update 2023-06-17 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. One notable update is a new version of AutoBalance with additional configuration options. If updating from an old version, please migrate your config changes to the new config file included in the Update archive. The default configuration settings should have the same results as the previous AutoBalance settings.

The AHBot module is now included in the worldserver. It is disabled by default and can be enabled by using values in the newly provided config file for the module.

Update 2023-05-01 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. This fixes a recent regression with Vanilla power scaling - thanks Day36512 for reporting this issue!

This release requires a specific step for those updating from a previous release - please add the following line to your worldserver.conf: DBC.EnforceItemAttributes = 0

Please note that the module has not yet been updated to account for some recent changes to the way AzerothCore reads item data, so you may see several warnings as the server boots. The following config option will allow these to be safely ignored, and all item changes will still correctly apply. This config change is already in place for those downloading the fresh release rather than updating. A future update will provide a cleaner solution.

Please note that if updating from a character database that has not been updated since March 13, you may encounter some issues with this update due to recent changes to the SQL tables. Running the updates from the previous release prior to those for this release should resolve all issues. Please feel free to contact me for support if you need help.

I will be on vacation for the next six weeks, so there may be no repack updates during that time. However, once I return, I plan to begin implementing the following features due to popular request - all will be disabled by default but can be enabled and configured through config changes:

  • AHBot module included in the build
  • A new configurable leech module that will heal players a percentage of damage done when doing solo dungeons/raids - along with autobalance, this will allow players playing certain classes to play through this content solo.
  • NPCBots integration - Playerbots integration is still planned but it may still be quite some time until it is stable enough to use, so this will provide an alternative.

Update 2023-04-20 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. In particular, this fixes a significant regression that caused Vanilla scaling adjustments to apply at full value to all characters less than level 60, rather than gradually from levels 11-60 as intended.

Update 2023-04-05 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. In particular are improvements to TBC content and Naxx 40.

Update 2023-03-13 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. Many thanks to @AlvinZhu for his many reported issues and submitted fixes!

Update 2023-03-01 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. Many issues are fixed, especially in TBC content. Please see changelogs for AzerothCore master and individual modules for specific details on what was fixed.

Like the previous release, this update introduces some additional config options. If you are updating from an older version, you may see some warning on server startup. These can be safely ignored, but if you would like to resolve them, please use the new config files from the release archive, or just put the correct new lines into your config files as explained in the warning message.

Update 2023-01-31 Happy Rabbit Year! This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules.

This version of the server uses a new version of map data. If you are updating from an older version, please ensure you have downloaded the latest map data as explained in the installation instructions.

This update introduces some additional config options. If you are updating from an older version, you may see some warning on server startup. These can be safely ignored, but if you would like to resolve them, please use the new config files from the release archive, or just put the correct new lines into your config files as explained in the warning message.

Please report any issues in the issue tracker to be fixed!

Update 2022-11-23 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules, notably fixing an issue where 40-man Onyxia would summon whelps at the wrong level and was not skinnable to create the Onyxia Scale Cloak (thanks blazersrng for pointing out this issue!)

Update 2022-10-24 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. Please note that the some DBC files have been changed and need to be updated if updating an existing installation using Update.7z. To update your DBC files:

  1. Download IndividualProgression dbc.zip
  2. Place the .dbc files from dbc.zip into the data/dbc directory, overwriting existing files
  3. Place the .mpq files from dbc.zip into the Data directory of your WoW client

These steps are not necessary if you are performing a new installation.

Update 2022-10-17 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules. The bug blocking the Challenge Modes module from working is resolved, so this feature can now be safely enabled. Please let me know if you see any issues!

Update 2022-10-08 Fixes an issue where the Death Knight starting progression level was incorrectly being applied to all classes, not just Death Knights. Please update!

Update 2022-10-07 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules, including many spell bonus coefficients that were fixed in the latest AzerothCore. This fixes spells like Paladin's Judgement.

In addition, this release now includes the new Challenge Modes module. This is disabled by default - enable it through the new config file in the configs/modules directory.

Update 2022-10-02 This updates to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules, including fixing a bug where Blood Elf Warlocks were missing the quest to get their imps. I have also added an optional download, ReenableQuestMarkers.7z. Quest markers are disabled by default in the repack because they were not part of the game until 3.2, so quests were not designed with them and this is the more authentic experience, but many players still miss them; extract this 7z file to your repack directory and run add_quest_markers.bat to re-enable the quest markers. The included .sql files and the .bat file can be deleted once the update is complete. In the future, I will add this as a config option.

Update 2022-09-28 In addition to updating to the latest version of AzerothCore and all modules, this update addresses a crash when speaking with the Reagent Banker or Transmog NPCs.
