Version 3.0 really focused on simplicity and attention. So everything that isn't needed got removed

It removes the YouTube homepage video recommendations and gives you only two options, search, or consume.
The consume button sends you to the subscriptions page. so you'll have to choose which quality channels to have and keep.
If you watch a video it deletes all the videos on the right.
If you open a shorts video you won't be able to scroll down to get more videos and get stuck in that disgusting trap.

You can download this extension on chrome web store or you can download it here by downloading the CRX file below, then you'll get a popup asking you if you want to download the extension. Or if you don't see that popup, you can open the tab for managing extensions, then drag and drop the CRX file anywhere there.

The shorts button and the notifications button are removed, and if you open a link to a shorts video you won't be able to scroll down to get more videos

To download this extension, download the CRX file, and then you'll get a popup asking you if you want to download the extension. Or if that doesn't work, you can open the manage extensions tab, then drag and drop the CRX file anywhere there. If you get a CRX_REQUIRED_PROOF_MISSING error or chrome doesn't let you enable the extension, then you can download the ZIP file, then extract it, then in the extensions tab enable developer mode, at the top right, then click load unpacked, at the top left, then choose the extracted folder, and that should work, if it still doesn't work then raise an Issue here and I'll try to help you.

Btw, the reason you might get the CRX_REQUIRED_PROOF_MISSING error is that I didn't publish this extension on the chrome web store, so chrome goes like nope, don't worry I will protect you my dear child and then ruins everything, It costs $5 to be able to publish extensions, so I might publish it when I feel like this extension is getting attention

It knows how much time you spent watching youtube, and if that time is smaller than your time limit, then it tells you this:

but if it's bigger than your time limit you get sent to this page:

Here is where you can change your time limit, there's {Failure: 2.5 hours, Useless: 2 hours, Normal: 1.5 hours, Useful: 1 hour, !Failure: 0.5 hours}
If you try to make your time limit higher, it tells you that it will do that tomorrow:

To download this extension, you just need to download the .crx file, then you'll get a popup that will tell you to enable the extension. Or if that doesn't work, you can open the manage extensions tab and then drag and drop the .crx file anywhere there.
