Add `from __future__ import annotations` to files with type hints. Using this simplifies type hints as they no longer require quoting. This is in preparation for enabling Ruff rule UP037 (quoted-annotation, Remove quotes from type annotation) [[ref](https://beta.ruff.rs/docs/rules/#pyupgrade-up)].
These quoted type hints cause problems for Sphinx.
