Huge Update™
This is no April Fools joke.
FicsIt-Cam went through some major changes.
Dockable Panels & custom Layouts
With the new dockable panels you can layout the editor as you want.
You can even use multiple windows/monitors for your layout. And you can store multiple custom layouts.
New Scene System
Animations are gone. Welcome the Scenes!
Scenes and Animations are very similar but also not. While animations just hold the camera data, Scene can store multiple cameras and other objects and animate them.
This means there is now the "Scene Object". You can add multiple scene objects to your scene and animate them, switch between them and use them at the same time in the same animation.
World-Settings Scene Objects
The World-Settings Scene Object allows you to change and animate the time-of-day.
CSS teased on Twitter they will add weather. This scene object will also cover animating/changing the weather.
The time-of-day change allows you f.e. to create a fake timelapse effect.
Particle-System Scene Objects
The Particle-System Scene Objects allows you to animate and use partcile effects in your animations.
You can choose between all particle systems the game or other mods provide.
This includes Fireworks, so you can time fireworks perfectly with your animation.
Complete Editor Overhaul
Besides the Panels and Scene the editor got a major overhaul in all aspects.
You have more fluid interactions with panels like the graph-view.
The graph view allows you to now select multiple keyframes and manipulate them.
Viewport Interactions
Finally you can interact with Scene Objects inside the viewport.
3D Scene Objects now have a Gizmo that allows you to easily change the transformation of it inside the 3D World.
The animated camera path is now interactable, allowing you to change to the point in time where the camera would be at this point pn the path.
Better Timelapse-Camera
The new timelapse cameras can be defined to have a specific resolution and can be animated using camera references.
Camera-Feeds
Camera-Feeds allow you to create additional windows (in your OS) that show the SF World from different perspective while your game runs just normally.
Window positions and sizes will be stored. This allows for an amazing streaming setup where your viewers can view what you do from different angles at the same time!
These camera feeds can also change in resolution and be animated using camera references.
Camera References
Camera references are a system allowing you to reference the/a camera of a scene and use its camera settings for some other usage like timelapse cameras and camera feeds.
It can also be made to consider currently playing scenes and use its live camera settings, essentially allowing you to animate the used camera reference.
Background Scene Play
The background scene play simply allows you to play a scene in background without your main gaimplay window to be forced to show what your animation does.
This is especially useful to animate camera-references or when you have a scene that only consists of particle systems to "decorate" your scene.
Animation Looping
You can let your animations to restart atomatically at the end of your animation. This is especially useful when using the background scene player.
Bugs
As always the update also contains bugs,
if you find them, please report them on GitHub.
And now...
get back to work!
