Fun fact: Abbot is our nickname for the bot, whose actual name is Recruitabot!
Pull requests are welcome. For major changes, please open an issue first to discuss what you would like to change.
Please make sure to update tests as appropriate.
We use a rebase-oriented workflow. We do not use merge commits. This means to get your local branch up-to-date with the upstream, you would use
git pull --rebase upstream main
instead of regular git pull.
Please adhere to the Conventional Commits spec when writing your commit messages. This ensures ease of understanding for all those who work on the project, as well as a nice looking commit history.
You are also highly encouraged to use the appropriate Gitmojis in your commit messages. Here is an example of a good commit message:
docs: :tada: add license and commit guidelines to README
If you're using VSCode, the Conventional Commits extension both enables great commit messages and uses gitmojis!
