This app is designed to help users scan documents, and convert them into digitized text with the help of text optical character recognition. Extract the zip file (244.68MB) and run either main.py (CLI) or maingui.py (GUI) depending on your preference.
This release contains ALL dependencies for the OCR which include PyTesseract along with its models and Poppler for pdf to image conversion. Any additional dependencies can be installed using the requirements.txt file provided in the package.
Note: This is a school project, aka it may not be worked on in the future/receive updates and bugfixes. But we do intend to improve it if we have time.
