Feature Requests for Chat, Messages, Composer & Feeds

Hi, my feature requests:

General:

Avatars for nicknames in Chat (set a Avatar or a random avatar generator when no Avatar set)
Avatars for your Contacts, in Messages & Chat Persons
Short nicknames without ID (ID can be viewed in a User/Profile details view, extra ID column, tooltip)

• ToolBar icons for the main buttons (more icons needed in muwire)
• Icons for the Inbox, OutBox, Sent, and for new folders

Chat Server:

• Names(alias) for Chat Server (chat server name) and not use the big nick +ID, (full chat server id/details can be viewed in details view or tooltip)
• Topic support for #rooms (/topic #channel newtopic)
• Permission feature for #rooms ( #muwire -> Everyone, #private-> Contacts #secret->some Users)
• Feature to can restrict your Chat Server when possible (Everyone / Contacts) or with password or with a other idea

Chat:

• Nickname colors
• Store/load chat history (else every conversation is lost)
• Short time stamps (when its on same day)
  Show only nicknames (without id, full id via tooltip or view profile page)
  Tag a user in the Chat with @MuWireUser (he gets a notify when he is mentioned)
• Emoji support in Chat
• Attach pictures support in Chat
  Download Button/Link when pasted a File hash ( when clicked then add the file to downloads)
• Copy able http links or highlighted to click able

Messages:

Show Nicknames only (Sender) ( ID via tooltip or view profile details)

• Count Inbox (2) on Unread Messages
• Count Outbox (1) when message(s) not yet send
• Drafts Box & (count drafts by default)
• Trash Box & (count messages in trash)
• Forward Message feature
• Set text bold when Inbox Messages are unread (Subject, Date, Sender)
• Attachments column (for count attachments)
• Move to (context menu to move a message to a folder)
• By default sort messages by newest messages on Top (by Date)
• Column Order -> Attachments, Subject, Sender, Recipients, Date, Unread
• Search filter to search messages by Subject, From...

Security/Privacy features:

• Feature to set my Service/Content only for my "Contacts" (this needs a own Page example Service Permissions for( Feeds, Files, Collections, Chat, Messages)
• To able to can create dynamicly new Groups (Favorites, Buddies, ,....), at the moment only one static "Contacts"

Feeds

• Notify me when there is a new file published
• Count Feeds button
• Set Bold the new file entry (Name, Size, Date)
• Sort newest on Top (by date)
• comments feature for post feeds

Search:

• Count results

Context menu:

• Messages -> context menu -> Add as Contact
• Searches -> context menu -> Send Message, Chat, Subscribe Feeds, Browse Files, Browse Collections, Add as Contact, Block the sender
• Chat -> context menu -> Send Message
• Files -> context menu -> Share/attach file to a message

Message composer:

idea like contacts list on left side like how in thunderbird and to fields which takes not much space

• Contacts sidebar (for easy add some one to send a message)
• To field (which takes less space)
• Auto complete feature for to field ( search for nickname then it takes the right contact)
• Attach button
• Save button ( saves to Draft box)

im not sure if this doable in java

@blob2k hi, I've started working on avatars. It's still work in progress but the latest CI builds already have a lot of the functionality. It would be great if you can follow from the Actions page and let me know how it works.

There is one known issue so far on Linux - the profile editor doesn't show the avatar when loaded from disk, but other users see it on the network fine. I don't know what is causing this, looks like a java bug at the moment.
