Invalid unicode rendering when running ligature branch

Hi @zenixls2,

Thanks for working on ligature. I tried running 3ed0430 and it looks like there is an issue rendering ❯. See the screenshots below:

ligature branch:

Alacritty 0.7.2 (5ac8060)

Test case:
printf '\xe2\x9d\xad'

System

OS: macOS
Version: alacritty 0.8.0-dev (3ed0430) and alacritty 0.7.2 (5ac8060)

recently too busy to maintain. Wondering if it really works in macOS, and this might be the first positive answer (at least it compiles?)

Yeah, I was able to compiled correctly using 3ed0430 . There were no errors during the build process. I will be able to test any of the changes on macOS.
