I would encourage this as well. pip currently has RC1 which is 8 months old as of now. And there are a lot of commits after this that are bug fixes. |

Currently, PyPi has only 1.0RC0 which has some bugs. At least more up to date version will help people be less frustrated. Looks like you're due to a RC2 considering that the setup.py already lists RC2.
