In #1974, I considered renaming files such as modules/twinklearv.js to modules/arv.js. But later I decided against it for the reasons in #1974 (comment) (gadgets usually prefix the name of the gadget to their filenames, which is a good practice)

However, we can still clean up this folder a bit by renaming anything with "friendly" in it to "twinkle". So for example, renaming modules/friendlytag.js to modules/twinkletag.js

Benefits:

  • more intuitive, less cryptic
  • modules in alphabetical order

Keep in mind:

  • will probably want to "move" these pages onwiki, then do a deploy. this will preserve their histories
  • will need to immediately update MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition during the deploy as well
