URL: https://google.com

Browser / Version: Firefox 117.0 Beta
Operating System: Android 13
Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Site is not usable
Description: Buttons or links not working
Steps to Reproduce:
When I Google something and select an image, Firefox freezes.
This happens both with the google search fixer and when changing the useragent to chrome for Android.
If that is not changed firefox gets an old version of the search engine.

Browser Configuration
  • None

We appreciate your report but I was not able to reproduce this issue.

img.mp4

Tested on:
• Browser / Version: Firefox Beta 117.0-20230808215502
• Operating System: Google Pixel 5 (Android 13) - 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~432 ppi density)

Suggestions:
• Clear cache/data/cookies, disable Ad-blocker (if available), or use a clean profile and check again
• If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config), please revert to the default settings

Note: Regarding the old version this is related to Google not serving tier 1 experience for Firefox on Android, more info here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=975444

It can be reproduced if you use "Google Search Fixer" add-on. As Firefox team doesn't want to fix Google's website on their mobile version, most people are using this add-on to be able to use Google like how they should be able to.
