Project Abstract

The primary goal of this project is to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface that simplifies the migration process for Polkadot and Parachain Ledger users.

This web application will allow connecting Ledger devices, automatically display accounts eligible for migration, and assist users through the migration process in a secure and clear manner.

Grant level

  • Level 1: Up to $10,000, 2 approvals
  • Level 2: Up to $30,000, 3 approvals
  • Level 3: Unlimited, 5 approvals (for >$100k: Web3 Foundation Council approval)

Application Checklist

  • The application template has been copied and aptly renamed (project_name.md).
  • I have read the application guidelines.
  • Payment details have been provided (Polkadot AssetHub (USDC & DOT) address in the application and bank details via email, if applicable).
  • I understand that an agreed upon percentage of each milestone will be paid in vested DOT, to the Polkadot address listed in the application.
  • I am aware that, in order to receive a grant, I (and the entity I represent) have to successfully complete a KYC/KYB check.
  • The software delivered for this grant will be released under an open-source license specified in the application.
  • The initial PR contains only one commit (squash and force-push if needed).
  • The grant will only be announced once the first milestone has been accepted (see the announcement guidelines).
  • I prefer the discussion of this application to take place in a private Element/Matrix channel. My username is: @ainhoa_a:matrix.org (change the homeserver if you use a different one)

Thanks for the application @ainhoa-a few quick points:

  • We haven't offered ETH mainnet payments for some time now. Could you please provide an AssetHub USDC address instead?
  • We now require grantees to accept at least 50% of payment in vested DOT (linearly on-chain for two years). Would this be an issue for you? If not can you please provide a DOT address as well?
  • Milestone 3 isn't clear to me, does this mean that there would essentially be a maintenance period of 12 months, with a delivery each month? If I understand correctly, you are asking for a monthly payment of $1k to equal a sum of $12k after 12 months? Could you also add some deliverables to this milestone?

Yes, this won't be an issue.

Yes, a monthly payment of $1k per month. We cover all costs for the operation of the website, we can provide monitoring information similar to checkly.

Thanks @ainhoa-a for the response, but could you please update the address in the application itself? Thanks!
