how to set the umi length?

Hi, as is explained in the document, the default the umi length is 6bp, however for my data, there is a 12bp umi at the beginning of each read, how to change the umi length as I can't find any parameter from the connor help or from the source code?

Hi Shannon,
Connor currently doesn't support custom tag architecture; this is a an important feature and we hope to implement in a subsequent release. In the interim, if you adjust the line in connor/samtools.py:
DEFAULT_TAG_LENGTH = 6
to
DEFAULT_TAG_LENGTH = 12
I believe it will accommodate your tag structure.
Does that make sense?
