I'm an end-user not a developer, after waiting a month for someone other than myself to notice there is clearly something wrong with the Android UI I sent an email explaining the issue and was told to report it on Github. After another month when it was clear there was no initiative to deal with it without the official bug report I have had to sign up to Github to get something done. How something obviously so broken can be ignored for so long I can not explain.

So for the record I am posting this with the url of a sample map with a brief bug report in the Caption to try and get it fixed.

Thank you

Here a few possibilities:

  • we are Martians came on Earth to make earthling life a nightmare
  • we are part of a Microsoft secret plan to force people create an account on Github
  • very few people have this issue

I can't say for sure which one is the true one, but as an exercice let's imagine it's the latest, and in this case, could you provide more informations:

  • version of your Android
  • which browser and versions have you tested on
  • screenshots of the issue

Also, before writing an issue, always remember that softwares are made by humans, with limited time, advanced failure capacities, emotions… and adapt your tone for those people so they did not feel guilty for making (imperfect) open source and free software. And remember that you did not pay to use uMap.
