Describe the bug

When I set the frame cap in Gaming Mode to anything below 90 hz, the game seemed to be stuck at 40 - 45 hz no matter what I did (it did stay at 90 hz when I set the frame cap to 90 hz).

What did you expect to happen?

I expected the frame cap to apply appropriately (for example, setting it to 60 hz should cap the frame rate to 60 hz).

Extra information or context

Edit: After updating Bazzite earlier today (after posting this bug report), this seems to be occurring much less often, but it still seems to be happening occasionally.

Edit 2: It seems like this issue is very similar to mine, although this person has it happening with an ROG Ally X.

Hi, @cameronbosch,

I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the bazzite team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale.

From what I understand, you reported a bug with the Steam Deck OLED where setting the frame cap below 90 Hz causes the game to be stuck at 40-45 Hz. Although a recent update to Bazzite has reduced the frequency of this issue, it still occurs occasionally. There haven't been any further comments or activity on this issue yet.

Could you please let me know if this issue is still relevant to the latest version of the bazzite repository? If it is, kindly comment on this issue to keep it open. Otherwise, feel free to close it yourself, or it will be automatically closed in 7 days. Thank you!

Hi. I have just tried to play a game today at 40, 45, and 50 hz. None of these caused the issue, therefore, I think I'm going to close this issue for now as solved.
