Bazzite vs SteamOS?

Hi not really an issue more of as a question of comparison.. aside from the hardware support and waydroid support on the steam deck what is the major advantages of using bazzite over SteamOS on the deck specifically just looking for enough of a reason besides waydroid support to make the switch. I couldn't find any real comparisons just review videos but again not comparison videos.

For the deck if any of the features here are important to you then it'd be a reason: https://universal-blue.org/images/bazzite/#about-features

The biggest features come by having a newer version of the linux kernel, which may or may not be important to you. Basically if you're fine with how it's running stock and you don't want to tinker then stock SteamOS is fine. If you want to squeeze every last drop of performance by running bazzite and being a bit more hands on then that'll be a reason to use it.

And there's a bunch of reasons for using it on non-deck hardware (like a console for your TV), but that wouldn't apply in this case. Hope this helps!

One more important thing to mention is that you're able to layer packages now, this means if you need to install something to the actual system you can simply do that and it will be kept across updates.

This was the initial desire that led to Bazzite existing in the first place.
