Should have added, F37 builds will continue to be published until it is end-of-lifed, so no need to rush! |

Another day another milestone! Now that RPMFusion and Fedora are in sync the builds are live and we've got our first set of Fedora 38-based custom images. We've got fresh ISOs with all the codec goodies you've come to expect, find them here: https://github.com/ublue-os/main/releases
And at this time please remember to always point people to the installation page as it's tracking our known issues with the ISOs, the biggest current gotcha is they don't work in ventoy: https://ublue.it/installation
If you're already using a ublue image you don't need to do anything, it'll either come in your next update or you can manually celebrate by doing an
rpm-ostree update
. If you're on an existing Fedora ostree installation or have been on F37 waiting for this check out this page for our images and the command needed to do a rebase: https://ublue.it/images/We're going to keep the "Beta" designation on these for the entire F38 cycle as the OCI container features that we utilize to make all of this possible are expected to land in F39. If we're doing our job correctly then it means way more people will be interested in this feature and helping us do what we can to give the Fedora teams feedback and testing. 😄
THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
How to Help!
If you're sending this to a friend I recommend also sending along Brodie Robertson's video, which does a great job explaining on what we're up to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsKKh3WS1q0
(If you're following the
:latest
tag, we probably will look at pointing that to 38 on Monday-ish depending on what people report. We recommend always following a versioned release like:37
or:38
so you don't wake up one day with an entirely new OS but it's ultimately up to you)Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
