would it make sense to move this library to the opentracing-contrib github org?

There are no current plans to do that, mostly because it requires some legal process at Uber which does not seem worth the effort.

Works for me! Just want to make sure this library can be used with existing opentracing stuff. It does seem a bit nicer than some of the other libs in the depth of the tracing it provides. I just want to give it (this library) to some python webapp developers as an example of how to do things.
