To be fleshed out further. General idea is, we use slow mode to subtly indicate to users not to discuss in some channels. This doesn't work well.

Ideal flow:
If not a mod, then delete their message and respond inline or direct privately with the contents of the message and explain why it was deleted.

Are there existing bots that can achieve as close as possible to this and are simple?

Consider different variations of limited messages.

What about making the worst offender (bugs) a channel that has threads, like-experiences - so that folks will need to post a thread if they found a bug.

I often see "bugs" (which are not bugs at all) that I know an answer to and then, because of how the channel is designed, I click "Reply" before I think to make a thread for that person.
