Unexpected response from server error

A little sick of this bug which has existed for over a year.

Every couple of weeks a player asks for help with it and we've yet to find a cause or similarity between them.

A temporary solution is to enable custom server and bypass the reflector, but this prevents auto-updates so the player must rely on the latest build being available on the website.

Hopefully, we can use this issue to compile information about each time this happens.

No results in the latest Nginx access or error log.

It also doesn't seem that country of origin is an issue, initially we thought this might be due to certain countries filtering some web traffic.

I can't find a commit by Jason which relates to an issue like this. What's different about our reflector which is causing issues? It's unlikely this is an undetected error happening on OHOL also.

Alternate error screen a user may see, unsure if it is the exact same bug, but similar symptoms.

My comments at the time

It must be a reflector error
If custom server connection to main server works, but default connection doesn't, likely related to reflector error
No record of their username in access.log until the time they reported it working. Probably need to dig into the flow of the reflector and what it might be doing
