There are many requests to update a project, but there seems no activity over a year.
Is the project abandoned?

I've published forked project at https://plugins.gradle.org/plugin/tokyo.northside.sphinx

Sphinx standalone binaries for linux, windows and macOS, based on sphinx 5.3.0, are developed and published at https://codeberg.org/miurahr/sphinx-standalone/releases
