Been doing tests with natural-spawnrate.

We seem to be having the best results with the old setting of 1. Anything above 1 is basically too high. 100 is completely insane, and far from normal.

But Meaglin mentioned 100 being normal, so I wonder if something on our server could be influencing this, if people are seeing 100 is normal.

Before I was only getting 1 mob every few dozen or so chunks - it was pretty low. I bumped mine up to 100 and so far it 'seems' normal.

Strange really, perhaps it scales with usercount? We have it set to 1% now, and there's plenty mobs everwhere :o

I guess by "normal" I mean still pretty thin. Still only one mob "spawn" every few dozen chunks, but at least they are spawning in groups of 3 now instead of solo.
