Describe the bug
There are no confirmation e-mails for Yahoo accounts.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Make sure that you have a @ymail.com e-mail account
  2. Use it for https://appointment.day/waiting-list

Expected behavior
You receive a confirmation e-mail.

Actual behavior
No confirmation e-mail received. Also checked the spam folder, there was no e-mail. A test with a @googlemail.com e-mail address worked as expected, the e-mail has been received.

While I don't really use my Yahoo account anymore, it's still my address of my Mozilla account for historic reasons.

System (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS 14.6.1
  • Browser Version: Firefox Nightly 131.0a1 (2024-08-23)

Hey there, can you try again when you have some time?

Unfortunately I can't test again as the form says "You are already on the waiting list". Someone would have to remove my email address from the list so that I can test whether the email sending works now. But for spam protection reasons I don't want to mention the address in the public. Let me know if there is another way.

You can try appending +1 before the @ sign. If yahoo is like any modern email it should treat it as an alias address. (So like [email protected] instead of [email protected]).

Our mail service doesn't show me more than the last 7 days of data and I was unfortunately on vacation so I can't see if it was a bounced email issue. Nothing looked odd in our error tracking system though.

If this issue persists though we may look into switching who we pay to send our emails 😄

It seems that Yahoo does not support this kind of alias addresses with the plus sign. But I was able to create an alias with a @yahoo.com domain and that worked. I don't know if this means that @ymail.com works now too.
